Questions, Answered

Athlete performance training — FAQ

What is force-plate testing and how does it improve performance?

Force plates measure exactly how much force you produce and absorb, and whether your left and right sides are balanced. That data pinpoints the specific weak links limiting your speed or power — so your training targets what actually moves the needle instead of generic work.

Do I have to be injured to train at One Nine?

Not at all. Many athletes come to us purely for performance and injury prevention. Because a Doctor of Physical Therapy oversees your program, you get training that builds performance while keeping you durable.

Do you offer golf-specific performance training?

Yes. We offer TPI-certified golf performance therapy and swing-related power training, tailored to the demands of your sport.

Can you train my team or a small group?

We offer 1-on-1 sessions, small-group classes, and full team management covering strength, power, speed, and sport-specific conditioning. Reach out and we’ll build a plan for your group.

How is this different from a personal trainer or gym?

Your program is designed and supervised by a Doctor of Physical Therapy using objective testing. That means training built on data and biomechanics — with injury risk actively managed, not ignored.
