Muscle strains, sprains, tendonitis, back and shoulder pain, post-surgical rehab — we treat the athletic injury and the mechanics behind it, 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Most clinics chase symptoms. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy dig into your lifestyle, sport, training load, and movement patterns to find the biomechanical or physiological cause of your pain. Then we correct it — and teach you how to keep it from coming back.
A progressive, benchmark-driven process — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
We calm the pain and protect the injury so you can start moving early and safely.
We rebuild mobility and clean up the movement patterns that caused the problem.
Sport-specific strengthening makes the injured area more resilient than before.
Objective testing clears you to compete — with a plan to stay injury-free.
Our patients are people driven to live an active life. High school, collegiate, and elite athletes train alongside surfers, cyclists, runners, golfers, tennis players, and active adults who simply want to move without pain — all getting the same expert, high-touch care.
A perfect 5-star rating across nearly 300 reviews — straight from our patients.
Sports PT is built around the specific demands of your sport. At One Nine, our Doctors of Physical Therapy analyze the exact movements your sport requires, identify the weak links, and rebuild them — then use objective testing to clear you for a safe return to competition.
No. California allows direct access, so you can start at One Nine without a doctor’s referral. We recommend beginning with a free 15-minute consultation with one of our DPTs.
One Nine is cash-based and out-of-network, which keeps every session 1-on-1 with a doctor. We provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement and handle the paperwork for you.
It depends on the injury and your goals. Because every session is a full hour with a doctor, patients often progress faster than in high-volume clinics. We’ll give you an honest estimate at your first visit.
We have three San Diego locations — Solana Beach (722 Genevieve St, Suite Q), La Costa (1645 S Rancho Santa Fe Rd, San Marcos), and Rancho Bernardo (11305 Rancho Bernardo Rd) — serving Encinitas, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Rancho Santa Fe, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Poway, and La Jolla.
One Nine provides sports physical therapy to athletes and active adults throughout San Diego — including Solana Beach, Encinitas, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Carmel Valley, Rancho Santa Fe, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, and La Jolla — from three clinics, each with a Doctor of Physical Therapy on every visit.
